The Next Generation of Containers for the
Nursery Industry
The most versatile above ground growing container
has emerged and is available to the nursery industry.
The Fanntum container
is a combination of a wire basket frame and a fabric
covering. The wire basket forms the skeleton of
the container and
the fabric is the skin of the container. The top
of the fabric covering is Hog Ring stapled to the
top
horizontal
wire of the basket. When the plant is being planted
in the landscape the fabric exterior is removed
leaving an
intact, unfractured root system held together by
the wire basket, no other nursery container can match
this feature
of the Fanntum Container. The plant is planted with
the wire basket left on the root ball which allows
the plant
more stability and live ability versus an unprotected
root ball. The wire basket will eventually rust
away
causing
no ill effects to the plant or the surrounding soil.
